South Hedland
Power Station
Australia Energy South Hedland power station (SHPS) is a 150MW combined-cycle natural gas-fired power generation facility being constructed in Western Australia.
Three Gorges Dam China Energy The Three Gorges Dam is the world’s largest power station in terms of installed capacity (22,500 MW). The dam is the largest operating hydroelectric facility in terms of annual energy generation, generating 83.7 TWh in 2013 and 98.8 TWh in 2014.
EPR Flamanville 3 France Energy Flamanville 3 European pressurised reactor (EPR) project.
KW Lünen Germany Energy Trianel Kohlekraftwerk Lünen (TKL) developed the 750MW hard coal-fired power plant at Lünen, Germany. With a net efficiency of approximately 46%, the plant is expected to be the most efficient and cleanest coal-fired power plant in Europe.
Maritza Greece Energy Maritza East 1 lignite-fired power plant, including two 335 MWturbine-generator sets and  turbogenerators, as well as coal and ash handling systems, electrical, information and control systems and balance of plant.
Gulf Interconnection Middle East Energy The Gulf Interconnection Power Grid is one of the most important transnational infrastructure projects to have been undertaken in the Middle East for some time. Upon completion this mega-sized pooling of electricity resources will interconnect the power grids of the six Gulf states – Kuwait, Saudi Arabia, Bahrain, Qatar, the United Arab Emirates and Oman – and enable them to use their electricity resources more efficiently.
JLEC 5 & 6 Morocco Energy TAQA Morocco is continuing its growth strategy by the extension of the existing coal fired power station with two new production units of a capacity of 700 MW, thus bringing the power station’s total capacity to 2,056 MW.
Poznan Poland Energy Waste to energy plant for the Polish city of Poznan with a capacity of 210,000 tonnes of waste a year, an electrical production of up to 18 MW and a district heating output of up to 34 MW.
Shoaiba Stage II & III Saudi Arabia Energy The Shoaiba power and desalination plant is an oil-fired CCGT power and desalination complex in Saudi Arabia on the coast of Red Sea, about 120 kilometres south of Jeddah. It is one of the world’s largest fossil fuel power plants, and the world’s third largest integrated water and power plant.
Tuas Singapore Energy Power Station.
Matla South Africa Energy Matla is a base-load plant, which means it operates continuously, except for regular scheduled stoppages for inspection and maintenance on the individual units. Matla consists of six 600MW units at an installed capacity of 3600MW, the first of the giant 3600MW coal-fired power station.
Amata Thailand Energy Cogeneration Plant in Thailand.
Ferrybridge Multifuel 1 UK Energy £300 million multifuel plant on land owned by SSE at Ferrybridge ‘C’ Power Station near Knottingley in West Yorkshire.  The Plant is capable of generating  around 68MW of low carbon electricity using a range of fuel sources, including waste-derived fuels from various sources of municipal sold waste, commercial and industrial waste and waste wood.
Project Location Branch Short Description
Samarco 3 Brasil Chemical World’s largest iron ore pelletizing plant in Brazil.  Pelletizing, simply explained, is the transformation of very fine raw materials, in this case iron ore powder, into spherical pellets  less than 16 mm in diameter. This process facilitates transportation and enables end customers to process the iron further in blast furnaces or direct reduction furnace.
Gole Gohar Iran Chemical Iron ore pelletizing plant.
BASF Propylene Plant USA Chemical BASF will use Air Liquide’s proprietary Lurgi MegaMethanol and methanol-to-propylene (MTP) technologies to build a plant with a production capacity of approximately 475,000 tpy of propylene.

Water Transmission
Scheme Phase 2
Abu Dhabi Water The system presently consists of Shuweihat, Mirfa and Mussafah pumping stations, plus a parallel double pipeline 1600mm dia, 250kms in length, with a transfer capacity of 100 million gallons of water per day.
Mina Abdullah Kuwait Water Construction and rehabilitation of the Mina Abdullah water pumping plant operated by the Ministry of Electricity and Water in Kuwait.  The plant will pump about 1.5 million cubic meters of water a day from two desalination plants, more than doubling the country’s fresh water supply.
Ras Al Khair Saudi Arabia Water The Ras Al Khair plant i is the largest of its kind in the world – a combined power and desalination plant converting more than 1 billion litres of seawater into potable water each day. Along with a new water transportation pipeline, it transforms the picture for potable water in Riyadh, one of the world’s fastest-growing and most water-stressed cities.
